The San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC) has sponsored the Philippine Eagle Foundation’s (PEF) Philippine Eagle Week (PEW) with the theme “Helping the Eagle Survive the Pandemic is Helping Ourselves.”  The PEW will be held June 4-10 in celebration of the Philippine Environment Month with the objective of raising environmental consciousness among Filipinos.

The activities lined up for the PEW include the PEF’s rescue and rehabilitation efforts on Philippine Eagles that remain vulnerable due to hunting in the wild.  Among the activities is the webcast/streaming of rearing and release of Philippine Eagles “Agsamon” and “Salagbanog” which will be shown in the PEF’s website.  The documentary will feature the alarming frequency of contacts between human and eagles in its natural habitat forest that threatens the latter’s survival.
